Repentance is one of my favorite topics. I grew up thinking repentance was scary and you had to do some pretty bad stuff to have to repent. After a lifetime of learning, I learned that repentance is actually daily growth, progression, a commitment to change and do better every day. It is peaceful – a way to remove the things that hold us back so that we can experience full of freedom and true joy.
 
This was the feeling I wanted to infuse into this lesson. Let us teach our kids that repentance is a way to include God in our goals and our progression. It is for our "big stuff" and also for our daily stuff.
